My Professional Background
My career began at Human Potential
Research, Inc. where I was trained
to help clients understand the timing
and nature of change in their lives.
I often worked with individuals in
the midst of major life transition
who were facing a wide range of personal,
spiritual and professional challenges.
After 18 months, I started my own consulting
practice.
For six years I taught courses on
the spiritual nature of personal and
social change as a member of the Adjunct
Faculty of Antioch University West.
I have lectured at national conferences
about personal and spiritual development
and life transitions. Since beginning
my career as a Personal Change Consultant
in
1974, I have worked with over 2000
clients worldwide focusing mainly on
women in transition.

About My Relationship with San Francisco
As you may have gathered, I have
an ongoing romance with the beautiful
city of San Francisco, where I have
lived for many years. It was in 2001,
while I was temporarily living in London,
and feeling quite homesick, that
I decided both to begin my coach training,
and to become "San Francisco
Coach."
Not long thereafter, I moved back home,
began my training and built the first
version of this web site.
The photos
on this site reflect my
experience of San Francisco in her
many guises and moods. The photo on
this page captures the spirit
of both the fun and sophistication
that this city offers. It was taken
in 1998 by my sister Verna, when we
took her kids, my niece Kaitlin and
my nephew Sean, to the San
Francisco Museum of Modern Art where
a Keith
Haring retrospective
was showing. The sculpture is one of
Haring's wonderful pieces of public
art that were scattered throughout
the City at the time.
Verna's children have now grown and
the family has relocated to Kentucky.
Kaitlin graduated high school with
honors and has started college, and
Sean recently received an honorable
discharge from the Air Force, after
serving a tour of duty in Iraq and
is soon to be starting his college
education.
